The Green Bay Packers made the difficult decision to move on from All-Pro

offensive tackle David Bakhtiari this off-season.  It was a move that many could have predicted based on his $40 million cap hit for 2024, but also one that tugged the hearts of many Packers fans.

Bakhtiari has been dealing with ongoing knee issues ever since his December 2020 ACL Tear.

It was an injury that certainly impacted his entire career.  Now that he is a free agent, he talked with reporter Ian Rapoport about what is next for him.When the Packers released All-Pro LT David Bakhtiari, there were some questions about what’s next.

My understanding: He is diligently rehabbing and is focused on returning to play this coming season, I’m told. He’s taking it as it comes.

But plans to play.Like previously mentioned, after tearing his ACL late in the 2020 season, Bakhtiari has been dealing with knee issues. In 2022, he played 11 games after missing nearly

  1. 2023, he missed all but one game. A second surgery, which sidelined him for the remainder of the season, put him on injured reserve in late September.

Earlier this month, the Packers released him.
