It has been a very difficult start for West Ham United in the Premier League this season.
With just a single win from their opening five matches, they are currently sitting 14th in the league standings.
Chelsea completely outplayed the Hammers in their last game on Saturday, with the Blues claiming a 3-0 success at the London Stadium.
However, they have no time to dwell on that disappointing defeat as they are set to face Liverpool in the Carabao Cup third round on Wednesday.
It will be a tough fixture for the Irons as the Reds are currently in the form of their lives, winning five of their six matches in all competitions this season.

Predicted West Ham XI vs Liverpool
West Ham boss Julen Lopetegui isn’t expected to make wholesale changes to his team for the trip to Anfield. However, some of their fringe players are likely to get a starting berth against Liverpool this week.
Lopetegui has confirmed Lukasz Fabianski will play in place of their number one goalkeeper Alphonse Areola. Aaron Wan-Bissaka will likely keep his spot but we are backing 34-year-old Aaron Cresswell to play at left-back.
Summer signing Jean-Clair Todibo should partner Max Kilman in central defence. Konstantinos Mavropanos, who joined the club for £19m in 2023, produced an awful display against Chelsea and so Todibo will have the chance on Wednesday to win the starting berth back from the Greece international.
In midfield, we are expecting Carlos Soler to start alongside Lucas Paqueta and Edson Alvarez. But the front trio of Crysencio Summerville, Jarrod Bowen and Muhammed Kudus should remain the same as last time.
