Sam Wood: Castleford Tigers sign flexible back from Body KR on three-year bargain
Castleford Tigers have marked flexible outside-back Sam Wood on a three-year bargain from Structure KR, to start from the 2024 Super Association onwards.
The 26-year-old has 38 attempts and 15 objectives in 129 profession games, with three attempts and two games in 11 games for the Robins during 2023. Wood, who counts Huddersfield, Oldham and Batley among his old clubs, had his season finished by a knee injury in June. “I need some dependability,” Wood said of the transition to the Tigers. “I need to be at a club I can truly make my own, put my engraving on the club and battle for that beginning shirt (and) truly become a piece of that club.” He is the most recent getting paperwork done for the Tigers, on the rear of Papua New Guinea team Nixon Putt and Sylvester Mamo, Batley focus Josh Hodson and Wynnum-Masculine Seagulls place Josh Simm.
